Founded in 1993, Jerry’s Artarama of Connecticut was the vision of our owner, Jeffrey Shoham. After growing up in the industry working in a family business, he ventured out into the retail environment. He saw a need in the Hartford area because serious artists were either going to New York City or Boston to buy a better selection of art supplies. As the business grew, Jeff enlisted the talents of Chet Terry, another life-long member of the art industry. Chet is now General Manager. The family tradition continues with Jeff’s son, Andrew “AJ” Shoham, providing hands-on service and dedication that has made us the artists’ choice in our area.
